The Social Media Phenomena of the #TrashTag Challenge By: Lannette Bone Introduction There is no denying that social media has become a powerful tool that has rooted itself in the lives of millions across the globe and not only continues to have the effect of connecting individuals, but also brings attention to online phenomena's that trend on massive scales as well. From eating tide pods to jumping out of moving cars, internet challenges have been, at best, extremely silly and at worst, extremely dangerous.
